An artifact from 1971 that I see every day is my senior class ring. Over the years it's gotten lost in a drawer now and then, but since I attended my first reunion in 1995 - I've worn it every day.
I can't recall how much I paid for the ring. I think it was less than thirty dollars - including the extra amount I paid to have the "F" included on the stone.
