I'm not sure why, but in one particular issue of the Forsan Stampede we addressed the subject of the women's liberation movement.
Articles ranged from facts and figures about the women's movement, it's history, and an interesting guest editorial from one of my fellow seniors.
Quotes From High Schoolers When Asked:
"What do you think about the recent women's liberation movement?"
"I think that they should have the same opportunity and pay if they're doing the same amount of work."
Karen Stovall
"The fight for the equal pay, I understand and believe is right. But if they want to be equal to man they should be eligible for the draft also"
Billy McDonald
"I think that there should be a limit to the independance of women."
Karen O'Dell

Women's Liberation Movement - that is one of the most talked about subjects of today. There are as many different opinions as there are people. Personally, I think it's all silly.
All this talk of women being oppressed is nothing but what a bunch of old biddies thought up who did not have enough to do to keep them out of trouble. If the leaders and the rest of them did something constructive like helping the Red Cross volunteers instead of causing a lot of trouble, it would be better for everyone.
Besides, no one I know seems to be hurting because she is a woman.
I feel that a woman should get the same pay as a man if she is doing the same work, but it is ridiculous to think that any woman can hold up to digging ditches all day, six days a week.
Most girls I know would rather that the boy take the initiative in making the decisions. Of course it is always nice to have your opinion asked. All females, all normal females that is, enjoy having a man to take care of things.
So girls, I ask you, who is going to be opening the doors for you? Be extra nice to your boyfriend this weekend so you don't have to.
