In March of 1997, I had the pleasure of talking to Karen by phone for the first time in 25 years. She has the destinction of being the first to respond to my recent questionaire and the first to actually contact me by phone!
Karen, like me, is amazed that the Class of 1971 lost track of each other over the years.
Karen has not been to any class reunions nor was she contacted about any reunions. The last classmate she had contact with was Gloria Dodd, several years ago.
Karen and her husband Warren (a photographer) have been married 24 years and now live in Grand Prarie, Texas.
What Karen's been up to since 1971:
- Attended Howard County Junior College in Big Spring, TX
- Married R. Warren Gale Jr in 1973 and moved to Abilene, TX
- Graduated from McMurry University with a BS degree in education
- Moved to Irving, TX in 1976
- Moved to Dallas, TX in 1979
- She and Warren bought a private school in Bedford and moved to Watagua
- Daughter Elizabeth was born March 9, 1986
- Karen and Warren sold their school in 1990 and Karen went to work at The Science Place in Dallas
- Moved to Grand Prarie in 1991
- She went back to regular teaching (2nd Grade) in 1996
Karen was looking forward to our 1998 reunion when a last minute work obligation prevented her from attending. I hope to meet Karen at the next reunion (if not sooner).
